iHealth produces trendy mobile personal healthcare products. Via Bluetooth, you can monitor your health on your Smartphone and tablet. iHealth’s products allows you to daily check your weight, glucose levels or blood pressure but also to count your steps and track your sleeping pattern. iHealth wanted to launch their design products in Belgium, however there was no big marketing budget available to promote this. iHealth wondered if they could explain the features and applications of their products to the consumers via PR.
The technicality and complexity of the iHealth products makes it necessary to do a Q&A in order to be able to launch a successful and extensive PR campaign. We propose a PR plan that consists of two parts. Firstly, we organise a press tour during which the CEO of iHealth comes along with us to visit journalists and extensively explains the product to them. Secondly, we launch a number of press releases about several products of the iHealth product range. On explicit request of the press we also send out samples in order for these innovative gadgets can be tested.
More than 50 articles were generated thanks to the press tour and first three product press releases. There appeared a full page in the Gazet van Antwerpen/Het Belang van Limburg, Het Laatste Nieuws and La Dernière Heure but we also receive media attention from L’Avenir, Moustique, Goed Gevoel and Vitaya. The online contributions demorgen.be/hln.be, lesoir.be 7sur7.be, nina.be make the picture complete.
